Introduction

As was stated, nothing beats experience in being able to accurately determine where the next breath is going and guiding your raid to where they need to go to avoid them. I'll explain my methodology and the things I look for, but it might not make much sense until you see it for yourself.

First of all, do not call where the breaths are going, call where you want the raid to go. This makes it easier on the raid since you don't have 24 individuals trying to determine "ok, he said the breath is going south, that means I go north". Just tell them where you want them to go and the raid has a much better chance of surviving.

Terms

In Fusion we use the terms "TOP" and "BOTTOM". "TOP" is the area next to the tree/entrance to this area from Kalecgos. "BOTTOM" is directly downhill from that toward the fire wall. If you refer to the illustration in the "Breaths" section, from the blue "Start" icon, TOP is to the left and BOTTOM is to the right.

Lanes

Felmyst has four lanes where she will drop her gas breath. Top, top-middle, bottom-middle, and bottom. For every breath EXCEPT the top one, you will guide your raid to move to the TOP location. So, approximately 75% of the time you will be calling TOP in vent. This actually makes it very easy to call once you see all permutations of the bombing runs.

Determining the bomb lane

Felmyst does a couple of movements prior to doing her run. The first movement is that she'll stay in place but rotate slightly. IGNORE THIS. It means absolutely nothing. The second movement is that she'll reposition slightly. THIS is the movement you are looking for. There are three directions in which she'll move. If you are in the starting position (opposite her, facing in her direction) she'll either move toward the BOTTOM, directly at you, or toward the TOP. Remember that I stated she has four lanes? I'll get to that in a minute, for now I want to explain the two easy ones (where she moves BOTTOM or directly at you), then we'll cover the third, more difficult movement (TOP).

"Bottom" movement

Easiest of all. The instant she moves toward the bottom of the area, call TOP in vent (I call it multiple times to make sure I'm heard over other vent chatter) and start running.

"Directly at you" movement:

Also very easy. The instant she moves directly at you, call TOP in vent and start running.

Now for the tough one.

"Top" movement:

This is actually two different movements, depending on how far she moves. This is the one that screws people up. If she moves toward the top, you have to wait for her to either complete a "short" move (meaning she's going to bomb the top-middle) and make the call to move TOP in vent, or complete a "long" move (meaning she's bombing the very top) and make the call to move BOTTOM in vent. This is the ONLY time you'll call BOTTOM. When she moves toward the top, a "short" move is approximately one body width. The "long" move is about twice that.

Once you see it a few times it's fairly apparent, and you'll learn what the "point of no return" is for her, and you'll be able to call the BOTTOM move before she finishes the longer run to the top bombing run position. It is critical that you learn the difference in these movements quickly, because if she does a top-middle run and you call BOTTOM, it's almost guaranteed that someone will get caught by the mist. If she does a top run and you call TOP, it's obviously a raid wiper.

Final notes

Paths to follow for first breath

Moving both horizontally and vertically as described in the main article will help reduce the risk of a wipe from a delayed call.
