Why Contribute?

I can speak from experience: posting strats on StratFu has done amazing things for Fusion's position in the community. People have heard of us and we have gotten a number of applicants who came, in part, because they liked how helpful and open we were.

It's also a good way to get a repuation as a skilled raider when it comes time to look for another guild. Raidleaders love raiders who are experienced in their class (class guides), understand the whole fight (boss guides), or understand the game (general guides.)

Every guide you post has your name and your guild's name on them, as well as a total count of your articles that you've written. You can also post videos.

Remember, strats don't need to be completed to be published: comments provide a good feedback system, and can help you tweak your strat or notice problems, thereby helping your guild.

Why StratFu

StratFu lists guides from different sources, including some of the top guilds in the world. People visiting here will be looking for multiple opinions, which is why we list Similar Articles for every article.

Other sites use forum posts to track strategies and information, but those are inefficient because they rely on forum searching and 'bumping', as well as pawing through multiple forum pages. StratFu is database-driven (that's why we have you enter your strat into different boxes!) to help relate similar strats to each other, and help people discover what they want more quickly.

How to Contribute

Right now this is a manual process. Just PM me (Kyth) and I will bump up your access. Alternatively, click 'Chat' at the top here, that will get you into our IRC channel. You can message me as Kyth there if I'm around, and I can do the access change.

Example of a great guide

The best example of a guide so far is Potlol's DK guide: Unholy DK - A guide to ToTGC.

Specifically note his excellent use of pictures, headings to separate the text, short paragraphs, lists, and whitespace. All of which make a very easy-to-read guide.
