Not only do the buffs from the midsummer food stack with your normal raid food, but they stack with each other. So, for example, all your casters can be walking around with +44 dmg, +30 haste, and +20 hit.
And the “Festival Fortitude” 30 stamina buff that you get by being in a city when someone does a city quest stacks with everything and, insult to injury….: persists through death.
5 flowers get you 5 of a food. Putting out an opposite-faction bonfire nets you 10 flowers, your faction is 5.
Here’s a list of the bonfires: WoWWiki: Midsummer Festival
Maybe we’ll get lucky and Blizzard will nerf this for next year — silly world buffs….

Maybe these are what led to the Exodus kill? (Seems unlikely, but it’s possible.)
It’s absolutely certain that they did, in fact.
That boost is what makes up the DPS difference between them and the Ensidia wipes.
So. These things have been around since I can remember (or versions at least). Would this really be something they removed? Seems silly, but I suppose its never came down to this context.
(Just remembered the KT kill back in “classic”…world buff palooza. I suppose that’s the same thing on a level……)
And furthermore, why didn’t Ensida think of this. I need to do more prodding into blogs and forums. I apparently don’t know enough of the story. :/
Ensidia apparently killed Yogg earlier in the week for some reason.
This is the first week the Midsummer buffs have been available.
It’s pretty irrelevent though: whether via exploit or simply pounding at the encounter until the RNG went their way, even Exodus admits that the encounter is stupid as is. Hopefully nerfs will be incoming very soon.
